FROM CAMOUFLAGE SOUND....
Camouflage Sound started in Long Island, New York in 1996. We played in the
local clubs and backyard parties. Our fist dubplate we cut was Spragga Benz
"Tell Mi Bout War" and from then on our passion for war was undeniable. We grew
up listening to Killamanjaro, Metromedia, Bass Oddysey, King Addies, and Stone
Love. I would have to say these cassettes influenced us greatly. Due to other
priorities we parked the sound and went on to college to pursue higher
education. Around 2001 we dusted off our records and sound, strung up and
decided to voice again and touch the road. From 2001 until present we have been
cutting dubs and clashing whenever the opportunity comes about. We decided that
considering Long Island hasnt had a war sound to represent, we would fill those
shoes, clashing with the desire to become a warsound that Long Island can be
proud of. We would love to travel the world killing sounds AND jugglin for the
ladies. We have recently expanded to Florida with selectors in Tampa and
Orlando. Our ultimate goal is to become a multimedia company with clashing being
our foundation. Big up Scarface, Boogy Hype, A-plus, Mr Vibes, and our newest
member Hex. Special mention to Sir Christian, a man who aways kept us in the
loop and provides nuff links big up. Finally I would like to give thanks to all
the fans, the Camouflage ladies, and all the haters. Mannaz

FROM KILLA FACE SOUND....in the words of Wicked Face
aka Lion Face (MC/Selector/Owner):
I started making tapes in for my classmates while in high school. I myself would
listen to King Addies ,Stone Love and Barry G , sounds like that, and I always
wanted to build a sound. The first real sound I played on was Jam Rock, then for
a while Metro Media. But I considered my first professional experience to be
when I started playing with Katarock, who I played with for six years. I learned
a lot about the business during the time. In 2001 is when I branched out to
build my own sound. I was living in Milwaukee then, and by 2002 I was playing in
Chicago on a regular basis. Between 2002 and 2004, Killa Face, basically become
one of Chicago’s resident sounds . From 2004 is when I really set out to be a
national, international sound and really worked hard to be able to showcase the
sound in cities across the country. We have a website,
http://www.killaface.com
where people can read more about our history, and also catch some of our audio
so they can really hear what type of sound we have built since 2002. We have
some trophies. 2005 California Club Dread Sound Clash Winners, 2005 Milwaukee
Gulf War Winners, Winners Of 2005 Midwest Rumble, and Chicago's 2007 People
Choice Sound Of The Year And 2007 Selector Of The year Award. Other members:
Nambi Killa - Chicago, Krazy Hype-Atlanta, Freddo Killa-Trelawny Ja.
